In the perspective of every person lies a lens
through which we may better understand ourselves.

Months ago I have been blogging about how my views were magnified. Two weeks ago, the IT Guy made it a point to get me contact lenses. The last time I've used one was about 12 years ago...and now I'm too damn scared to wear them! This was my first failed attempt of putting them on...I ended up taking a shot and staring at it for 5 minutes trying to understand where and how in the world I have developed this fear! As I stare at the lens, I was trying to understand myself...I guess age gives us wisdom but it does not necessarily let us conquer fear...or is my fear out of wisdom? Wisdom to take care of my eyes?! I need more conversations with myself now.
I have glasses and am so afraid to try contacts! I think I"d freak out. LOL Happy WW! Thanks for stopping by my blog. :) http://spiceworld.us
ReplyDeletethis is a cool shot. i have been wearing contact lenses for the past 17 years, and i do prefer them over glasses. however, i can understand about your hesitation in putting something *in* your eye. it's kind of a strange concept. good luck :).
ReplyDeletethanks for stopping by!
Pretty cool pic! I have worn contacts for 23 years... Couldn't live (or see) without them! Good luck! :0)
ReplyDeleteWhat a cool shot! I've worn contacts for over 20 years and I can stick my finger in my eye like nobody else! LOL. It'll get easier-- I promise!

It took me like 45 minutes in the eye doctor's office to be able to get the contacts in my eyes...the assistant was getting frustrated. You are putting your eyes at a much greater risk of infection by wearing contacts, so maybe your fear is out of wisdom.
ReplyDeleteBTW, that is an awesome image!!!
